The Nikon D90 Raises the Bar for DSLR Cameras
As cameras and camcorders finish their transition to digital, it's inevitable that the lines between the two become blurred. We saw it coming (that's our story), you saw it coming (right?) and apparently Nikon did too because they just released the Nikon D90.The Nikon D90 is a DSLR that takes great photos, just like every other DSLR. So what's so great about it? It can also capture up to five minutes of high definition video.
This is the first DSLR camera to include this capability, and it becomes even more incredible when you consider that Nikon doesn't produce camcorders.
This is both revolutionary and totally expected; even though the Nikon D90 is the first DSLR to capture video, the regular digital cameras have been able to capture video clips for quite a while now. This was just the next step in tech progress.
Of course, that doesn't stop us from geeking out about it. And it appears that we're not the only ones impressed with the Nikon D90, either. Now that the Nikon D90 has set the precedent and gotten a favorable reception, other DSLR manufacturers are sure to follow suit.
