Nikon's Newest D5000 dSLR has Firmware Issues
Nikon’s newest dSLR has been getting rave reviews all across the internet. There is but one problem: the camera sometimes just won’t turn on.
Nikon has acknowledged the problem and will pledge to take care of those affected owners. Next week they will post a list of affected serial numbers, and if yours happens to be one of those you will have to ship your brand new camera back to Nikon. At least Nikon has offered to pay for the shipping though.
Nikon isn’t alone when it comes to malfunctioning cameras. If you remember the much hyped Canon Eos 5d Mark II had its share of issues at launch as well.
