the 10-22, that are very, very good...There are very good, maybe great cameas with smaller sensors...I just wish that Canon would offer slightly better editing tools to go with what is generally a good program...
The consumer camera did not get good ISO like Canon 5D yet, you get wide angels, I have 20D, 30D, 5D...Loud shutter sound, not accurate AWB in yellow light, not all the images has good focus In low light (Church), no internal flash, 3fps, vignetting/light
I upgraded from the Canon 20D, and I am enjoying the additional bulwark of size and detail from my new images. The body is slightly bigger, feeling more robust. The 24-105 lens in this kit is wonderful, sharp, and responsive.Originally, I was not thrilled
It's a great camera. My first full frame and I'm hooked already. Can't wait for the replacement to come out. My photos are taking on a whole new dimension with full frame.
wonderful camera. I've been using it for almost a year now. No real complaints. The controls are easier to use than previous digital cameras that I've owned. Excellent pictures even with crazy ISO of 1600. I love to take indoor pictures with no
I got this camera last year for my husband and he really likes it. It takes beautiful pictures. For portraits, I'd also recommend getting the Canon 85mm 1.2 lens and for landscapes and sports, get the Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS zoom lens. I know it&
I've used this camera now for 6 months and own 3, 5D bodies! I've used it with the following Canon lenses:24-70mm f/2.870-200mm f/2.885mm f/1.2200mm f/1.8300mm f/2.8I've shot EXTENSIVELY with all lenses WIDE OPEN and have not seen ANY vigne
The Canon 5D is the best camera I've ever owned, hands down. I've owned Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Olympus and Minolta cameras and this is the best. The size, weight, build quality, everything is just right. Most of all the image quality is unparrall
There are tons of raving reviews about the amazing 5D, so no repeating all that. There is one reason the 5D is THE choice: the full frame sensor, hands down. The image quality is umatched and is super low noise BECAUSE of the larger sensor. You see it in
I've been using this camera since December and carried it on a month-long trip abroad. I previously used two other Canon DSLRs, the Canon 10D and 350D. So far I have found the 5D a very rewarding camera to use. As others have suggested, it is a great
I researched a number of digital slr cameras recently, and evaluated a number of factors before taking the plunge and going with a system. I looked at Nikon and Canon seriously, and thought about:1. full-frame v.s. crop sensor2. build quality3. pixel size
a 5 star camera for sureWe increased the quality of our photos by at least 20 % from the D 30
I give this camera and lens combination HIGH marks for dim light shooting. ISO 1000 and higher, and 1/4 - 1/6 sec (and slower too). Lovely results. Just lovely. One session was in the hospital shortly after delivery of the brand new nephew. The other sess
*Update II* Just tried DxO Optics Pro version 5 for the 5D and my lenses. It fixes distortions, noise, exposure etc. that will transform your images into amazing ones automatically. It costs twice as much for full frame bodies (3 bills) vs crop but is wor
Went from a 6MP Rebel to the 20D to this and all have been great, but this is the best.Be warned, you will be very tempted to buy better glass. This camera is so sharp you notice the softness in your lenses.A perfect example is my 28-70 f2.8 Sigma It is t
Both my review and this camera are complicated, actually. If you are an intermediate or semi-pro photographer as I was when I bought this, you will be in for a rude surprise. This camera makes the 40D seem like a point and shoot. Now, when I say that I don
This is an excellent camera and since recent price drops it has become an excellent deal. While it doesn't have the bells and whistles of some of the newer offerings from Nikon and Canon (dust removal on the sensor, live view to name two), the design
Hi folks, I'm a Professional Photographer of over 20 years. I recently purchased a Canon 5D from Amazon because an editor was needing bigger files than my Canon 1D Mark II bodies would provide. I initially bought the 5D from Amazon because they were
If you also shoot wide-angle, welcome: This is our camera.I've been a serious photographer since my teen years in the 1970s and early-on adopted the 24-mm wide-angle as my "signature" lens. Consequently, I was disappointed when the digital
I got this as an upgrade from my 350d (rebel xt) and it is fantastic. If you have a good collection of lenses, you will notice the upgrade in performance, though on my 28 1.8 prime, the distortion was a little more pronounced than it was on the 350d.Anoth
Like most of the folks that are reading this review I tend to do a fair amount of research before making a purchase, any purchase. Well four years ago I picked up the original Canon 300D Digital Rebel. It was a great camera to learn with and I still enjoy
I am not on the Canon payroll, and I do not feel the need to carry their flag into battle. I just happen to wear a Canon around my neck a good portion of the time, so it is what I know. I am positive that Nikon, Fuji, Pentax, and Sigma all make fantastic
50 years from now if you go to the Smithsonian Museum you'll find the Canon 5D on display. It is the first pro-sumer level DSLR that has a full sized frame sensor. If you don't know why that's important - you have no business buying this ca
I have been using the Canon 10D for several years and decided to upgrade to the 5D. While the 10D was good, the 5D is much better from the photographer's point of view. For one thing it has a much faster response. All digital cameras go to sleep after
Pros: Build, sensor size, image quality, ease of use Cons: Haven't found one. Great piece of kit which suffers none of the 20/30D's noise problems at high ISO. The full size sensor allows all but the digital lenses to be used to their full width
Pros: Image quality and no conversion factor for lenses Cons: Price, and upselling everything
Pros: image quality, low noise, no crop factor Cons: no dust reduction like the newest Rebel This is the best camera I've used to date. Previously I owned a 10d, and I debated to upgrade after Canon announced having big rebates on the 5d. After decid
Pros: full-frame, image quality, construction Cons: prone to getting dust on its sensor This is my second DSLR. It was a little pricey, but well worth it. The full-frame advantage alone makes this a winner. Its image quality is much better than my 350D&#
Pros: 12.8mpg. Full frame sensor. Easy to use Cons: Just a teeny bit on the bulky side. I bought by first SLR in 1980. A Canon A1 : "Official 35mm Camera of the 1980 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo" (It says so on the lens cap). So when I finally m

Pros: Excellent Camera and verstile with most of non Canon Lenses Cons: Still expensive This is Canon EOS 5D powertool with smooth workflow. The Canon EOS 5D is affordable mid size D-SLR with a image sensor that is as large as a frame of 35mm film, and l
Pros: Pic Quality, Low Light capability, Full Frame Sensor Cons: The price of admission for a full frame camera is high I actually purchased this camera used but I am really enjoying it. I immediately got an 8GB CF card for it, you should not consider an
Pros: Stunning quality Cons: Not really This camera brings the best out in your glass, I have only moderate quality glass (35 f/2, 50 f/1.4 and 100 f/2.8 macro) but while on my 350D these were nice lenses, on the 5D they really shine. The FF size is what
Pros: Kul! Cons: Kul!
Pros: Excellent resolution, a real upgrade for Canon owners (EOS 10D,20D) Cons: Expensive, pretty average automatic white balance in artificial light A lower-priced full-frame digital SLR was a logical step for Canon, the only thing we weren't sure o
Pros: Excellent picture quality. Good auto exposure & focussing. Cons: Only 3fps continous shooting. Not fully weather proofed.
Pros: Full frame, good focusing algorithm, excellent lens support Cons: None Just when it looked like the only way to get a "real" 35mm DSLR was to shell out way too much on a 1DS Mk II, along comes the 5D and delivers a camera aimed at those w
Pros: Full Frame, DSLR Cons: Price
Pros: Eyepopping quality Cons: Some vignetting with 24mm lens 35mm SLR geeks - this is what you've been looking for at a reasonable price Digital users - your compact pictures will never look like this.
Pros: Small body, Full frames sensor Cons: Few FPS than 1Ds Mark 11, not as durable Just recently bought this camera and have already fallen in love with it. Having most recently used the 1Ds, the body size is much lighter and a better fit for my smaller
Pros: Excellent image quality, reasonable ruggedness, the right size for me! Cons: Expensive price-tag (mostly well deserved), weight may be offputting The Bottom Line: Can't wait until the next model comes out? Want a camera to suit enthusiasts, sem
Pros: Image quality and full frame sensor. Cons: A bit pricey. The Bottom Line: If you have the money and need the resolution, buy it. Otherwise get the Rebel XT
Pros: 50 years and hundreds of cameras later, this is now my all time favorite! Cons: Canon could cut the price, but then they might leave out the best parts. The Bottom Line: Unless you are a full time sports photographer or photojournalist, this camera
Pros: Full-frame, dramatic wide angle shots, price for the market segment, compact size, functionality. Cons: No weather sealing, control learning curve, expensive wireless shutter. Fear of it being stolen. The Bottom Line: Wonderful camera. If you _must_
Pros: Full frame sensor, Fast startup, large display Cons: Nothing major The Bottom Line: If you are serous about digital photography and can not afford the 1D, this is the camera to get.
Pros: Full frame High megapixel, can sell, print at large sizes GREAT high ISO capabilities. Cons: Too large to just carry around always. Large cost difference over similar models (30D) The Bottom Line: I love this camera, buy it! Large viewfinder, large
Pros: Best digital camera for the money! FULL SIZE SENSOR! Cons: More costly than the 20D. Heavier than 20D.
Strengths: - Nice color, tone, resolution, very low noise, etc Weaknesses: - Price, no built in flash & AF assist light Summary: It's a fast, excellent resolution, color and tone balance. Full 35mm sensor size, can use std EF lenses without crop
Strengths: Setting up the camera and personalizing the functions was easy. Having full-frame digital is great, especially if you already have lenses and won't need to fork over more $ for lenses. Weaknesses: The price is still pretty high but Canon h
Strengths: 12MP, full frame, size, Canon, no built-in flash, 2.5" lcd. Weaknesses: burst rate Summary: Isn't this what we've been waiting for? A Canon full-frame digital camera for less than $4000 (heck, soon to be less than $3000); with 12
