Samsung Debuts New Cameras, Scares Kids

Another day, another new innovation for point and shoot cameras. This time it’s Samsung with their TL220 and TL225 models. These new cameras feature an LCD screen on the front of the camera, as well as the back.

The secondary LCD screen, as far as I can tell, is good for framing yourself for a self portrait. Of course this is only useful if you don’t have anyone nearby to snap a quick photo of you. Ok, I guess it could be used to entertain little ones while you try to take their picture as well. Or you could put the image of the clown to terrify them. Either way works I guess.

The cameras themselves are pretty average. 12 megapixels, 4.6 optical zoom, and 720p video recording. The TL220 will cost $300 while the TL225 will cost $350 for a screen that is a half inch larger.
